Thunder is a freelance design practice built on over a decade of experience across branding, editorial, digital design, and creative direction. It’s not a traditional studio - just the banner I work under as an independent designer, partnering closely with clients to create thoughtful, bold, contemporary and striking creative solutions.
Hi, I’m Jon - a multidisciplinary designer who loves turning ideas into clear, meaningful experiences. Curiosity drives my process; I’m always exploring how design can simplify the complicated, spark connection, and tell stories that resonate. Over the years, I’ve worked with clients of all sizes - from local start-ups to global brands - shaping visual identities, publications, campaigns, packaging, digital content and more. I care as much about the strategy behind the work as the craft itself, and I’m at my best when I’m balancing big-picture thinking with the details that make a project feel intentional and alive. My background spans digital, publishing, advertising, product design and apparel, giving me a broad, adaptable toolkit and a collaborative approach. Whether you need a brand built from the ground up, a campaign that cuts through, or a designer who can jump in and bring clarity to a complex brief, I work hands-on, directly with clients and teams, to deliver design that’s purposeful, considered and built to last.
